This was a good follow-on in the series. It was great to dive back in and I liked the twists in the story. I did feel like this was a “middle” book- lots happened but it felt like set up for the next one, whereas books 1&2 had more shock and excitement. The writing also felt a little different. And I wasn’t a fan of the sudden POV jumps. That said, I really enjoyed the expansion of the world to the south and the different populations we met there on the search for the irid. Super creative story and I can’t wait to see where it goes. Queer rep: queer side characters.
