This story was so outrageous it worked. Sometimes I felt like I was being told too much but each time the plot twisted and rerouted in an unexpected direction. I loved the different POVs, the references to movies were fun, and I loved that I could easily tell each characater apart. Despite it being kitchy there was also plenty of heart. This was a great summer read. Most of all, I loved the friendships. Queer rep: one couple’s son is gay
