I inhaled this book, especially the last 30%. Now I need to go back and take my time re-reading the great sentences. There were so many beautiful sentiments and poignant moments, and above all else—the friendship, the love, the romance. The angst of it all. I definitely shed tears but there were plenty of smiles, too. It’s a mature coming-of-age story, I would say, capturing so many facets of a woman’s life as she figures out how to live it. Beautifully done.
Short summary: Annie and Amanda are inseparable until an accident launches them on different tracks. One into the jaws of fame, albeit anonymously, and the other on a path she never expected.
