I flew through this Jane Eyre retelling. Wasn’t sure where it was going at first but then it very much went! I’m of two minds with this rating and ultimately rounded up because it had me so hooked. There were a few threads I wanted more from, the timeline seemed too short, and I thought the stepford wives and toxic masculinity were a little too obvious. But the structure was interesting and ultimately, it was a great way to retell the story with a modern twist. No queer rep.
